Yee Haw...It's Rodeo Time!

What do you get when you have cowboy (or girl) boots, the smell of manure mixed with fried food and popcorn is in the air, and you get excited for mutton buston and the cattle round-up...you get the Houston Rodeo!  I had no idea what the big deal was when we moved here and really didn't understand the hype during our first Houston Rodeo season (of course I was pregnant with my third child and my other two were recovering from chicken pox...so, I had a few other things on my mind) and then we went the following year.  It was the exact picture of what people envision when you say you live in Texas...boots, cows, huge belt buckles, you know, Texas!  Eric and I then went last year and actually went to the rodeo and concert (Tim McGraw, yummy!) and had even more fun!  So, we decided to make it a full on family affair this year!  Molly and Jack both were prepared for the rodeo because both had fun-filled rodeo days at their schools and were so ready to go to the REAL RODEO!

Jack's rodeo day at school!  He had a blast with the tortilla toss,  stick horse races, and  potato sack races!
Molly's rodeo day at preschool!
Her rodeo parade, riding her stick horse!  She loved riding horses, singing "Deep in the Heart of Texas" and lassoing!
On our way to the Houston Rodeo to see The Band Perry!

Showing off our boots, except for the stud on the right...he just likes to pose really cool!
