A day at the farm!

A few weeks ago, Molly, Will and I all went to Dewberry Farm, a local pumpkin patch and farm, near our house!  Jack and Eric were busy with school and work, so they were missed and I even thought about pulling Jack out of school (good thing I didn't, he's going with his class in a few weeks!), but they went last year when the 3 of us were sick with the stomach flu...not fun!  We had such a great day with our friends from a moms group I belong to and all of our friends!  Here are some pictures of our fun day!!

Getting ready to ride the tractor!

Picking out the perfect pumpkin!

Feeding the goats!  She loved it!

She loved testing out the perfect spots for pictures!

And she jumped, and jumped, and jumped her little heart out!

Someone who wasn't too fond of jumping, but he's adorable!

Going down the "rolling slide" with her sweet friend
Ciana!  These girls love each other and had so much fun!

Such sweet friends!

He was so proud of himself, going up the stairs, getting on the slide and going down all by himself!

Can you tell we were here for awhile?!

"Riding" the calf...he loved it!

"Riding the horsey!"  She loved it too!

She loved going down the slides!  And Farmer Jack helped push her down!  She thought he was the coolest!

Watching Sissy!  He only wanted to go a few times!

We closed the place down after a good 4 hours there!  I wish I got a picture of them together, or riding on the tractor, or even the 3 of us, maybe next time!  Will loved, loved, LOVED the tractor and the farmer who drove it!  Molly loved everything, especially the jumping bags (another great picture to see how big these things were, the girl was in HEAVEN)!  Thanks Dewberry Farm for a wonderful day!

16 Amazing Years!

On October 20, 1995, 16 years ago today, Eric and I met!  We were 16, I was a sophomore and he was a junior in high school, but we went to different schools!  It all started at school that Friday when my  friend Rachael invited me and our friend Leslie to the mall that night.  Rachael called a guy she worked with, and date for the next night to Homecoming at his school, to meet us at the mall.  And to bring friends.  Well, he had to work, but asked if we would see a movie after he got off of work, and yes, he would bring friends.  So, off we went to the mall to help Rachael get ready for Homecoming (I didn't have a date that year, sad!)!  Wait, it get's better and let's back up a moment.  I went over to Rachael's house after school and only had my school uniform and it didn't make sense to go by my house to pick up clothes (I only lived about 3 minutes away, but whatever), so I just borrowed from Rachael.  Awesome!  While we're getting ready, she decides to pluck my then decides to draw on eyebrows with a brown eyeliner pencil.  I looked good (until I looked in the mirror when I got home and just met this super cute guy and realized that I had huge, fake, brown eyebrows).
Let's focus on the story....So, Leslie for some reason couldn't stay for the movie, but we met Rachael's date, Leo and his friends...Wes and his girlfriend and this really cute guy Eric.  We sat around before the movie started and I don't think Eric and I said more then 10 words to each other.  He did pay for my movie (Dead Presidents, and yes we tried to watch again for sentimental reasons and it is a horrible movie!) and we sort of just sat and watched the movie ads.  After the movie, Rachael insisted that Eric drive me home, such the match maker!  So, he did, we realized that we lived 2 blocks away and on the exact same street, destiny, that's for sure, and he asked for my number when we got to my house!  I was so excited and screamed when he called on Sunday (why not call on Saturday, Eric?!) and that's how "we" started!
Was it the cool car or pager or loud speakers and bases in his car or the fact he went to PUBLIC SCHOOL (the horrors but so cool to this private school girl) or how he dressed pretty cool or the baseball cap always on his head?  No, it was that feeling I had that I knew this was one special, dreamy guy!  I love me some Eric and am so thankful for our life together, for the past 16 years, and for all the years to come!  He's my best friend, my rock and strength, the worlds best husband, FATHER, leader, and our everything!  Love you!

Now, for some horribly embarrassing pictures of us from over the years...Eric will hate this, but I look back at these and wonder what he was thinking!  Wait, what was he thinking on the first night with my eyebrows?  Seriously.  And sorry about the poor picture quality, this is my first time scanning!

Our 1st dance!

A trip to apple orchard and a hay rack ride with his were glued into the scrapbook with gorilla glue or something!
A trip to the Alamo in college...1999

A date party in college, around 2000

A trip to Colorado before our wedding (I use to think I looked fat in this picture...not so much!) 2004
Our wedding day, almost 10 years after we met! 2005

And the rest is history!  Love you Eric!

Thanks for the blankets Grandma!

Yesterday we had a surprise in the mail...homemade blankets from Grandma!  She worked so hard at making them and the kids instantly loved them!  We laid them out, everyone grabbed their pillows, and they all cuddled on the floor together!  Perfect picture time, I thought to myself!  This is what happened instead...

Playing with his truck on his new fire truck blanket!!

Loves her Dora blanket but was hiding it!

A close-up of Jack!

Eating his snack and caught him mid-chew...he kept sharing with us

Starting to wrestle, Jack's covered by Will's least Molly looks sweet!

More wrestling but a good view of Molly's blanket!

"You guys lay next to each other so I can take your picture" and this is what I get!

Love this one!

Trying to capture the runaway child!

Finally, one with their blankets...the original purpose of this "photo shoot" and love the kiss lips there Molly!
Thanks for the blankets Grandma, we love them!  Can't you tell?!!

Two weeks of birthdays!

Will and I have birthdays 8 days from each other!  So, we've had two full weeks of celebrating, cake, presents, and fun!  Good thing our next family birthday is in February, mama needs to recover a little!

My birthday came first and my kids were beyond excited, they kept telling me what type of cake we were going to eat (ice cream, yum), what they were going to give me (coffee cups), and where we were going to eat for my birthday (my vote was sushi, they wanted McDonald's)...everyday!  So, I woke up on Monday morning, my birthday, to a VERY EXCITED girl at 5:45 am screaming, "Happy Birthday!!  We got you a coffee cup!"  Such a sweetie!  She went with Eric the day before to pick out my coffee cup and held it in for as long as possible!  When they got back the day before, she told me they got me a puppy and had a huge grin on her face!
The rest of the day was pretty typical, but full of lots of sweet phone calls, Facebook messages, cards, and presents!  Eric and I went to the movies the Saturday before, so we had a little date night to celebrate!  I did get my coffee cup and some cowgirl boots!  So ADORABLE!  We went to McDonald's for the kids and I did get my sushi, yummy, and ice cream cake!  32 has been a great year so far!

One week and a day after my birthday is Wills!  He turned 2 last Tuesday and it was such a great day!  We got him a tricycle, that is a little big for him, and his brother and especially his sister LOVE!  We also got him a toy truck like Eric's with a horse trailer, toy horses and cowboys!  He.  LOVES. IT!!  "My truck!!"  We went to Chick-fil-a for dinner and had birthday cake ice cream from Blue Bell (holy heaven, so good) for dessert.  He doesn't like cookies, cake or sweets, but he loves ice cream!  Maybe because I ate it like twice a day everyday throughout my pregnancy with him.  Totally worth it!  He loved blowing out his  candles!  So precious!  I can't believe my baby is 2!

Yesterday, we had Will's 2nd birthday party!  Jack was out of school, the weather was gorgeous, and it was the perfect day for an outdoor party at the park!  All of our friends from our church groups and play groups came, and the kids played on the play ground, Molly sweet talked everyone into pushing her on the swings (the girl loves to swing), Will slid down the slide a thousand times, and Jack ran around with his friends!  Such joy!  I made a cookie layer cake, which all the kids loved, except one...Will didn't even touch it, oh well!  (Not to pat myself on the back, but it was such a yummy, easy cake to make!  Thanks Pintrist!)  We waited until we got home to open his presents and OMG, the kid is set for life!  He got so many great presents, including a Thomas shirt, more trucks, a microphone (all 3 kids love), fruit snacks (such a treat!), and a personalized Will shirt (adorable!).
Today was his 2 year check-up, and he is so grown up!  He weighs 26 pounds and is 35 3/4 inches tall, which means he's at the 24% for weight and 82% for height!  What?!!  His doctor and I were shocked to hear how tall he was, he used to be higher in weight, meaning he was a little short and fat.  Poor guy!  Not so much now!  Of course he got a shot, but handled it pretty good!  He needed lots of love and cuddles after that though, which I love to give him!  Here are some pictures from all the birthday fun!
Don't mess with the man and his milk...who cares if there are presents, milk comes first!

Loves his truck and horse trailer!  Pretty much where we find him daily!

Sis giving him a ride on his trike!  She sat on it watching shows all morning before preschool!

Blowing out candles!

Riding on his tricycle!  Love this picture!

Such a happy boy!

Party favors!  Thanks Pintrist!

Heaven!  So yummy!

Blowing out his candles with a few helpers!

She makes cake look good!  An understatement if you think she liked the cookie cake!

Our Puggy Bear turns 2 tomorrow!  In honor of his second birthday, and for sometimes being the "forgotten" child, here is a post all about The Pugs!

*He is ALL boy, when looking up the definition of boy in the dictionary, a picture of him will be there!
*Loves to color all over the table with markers and crayons
*Throws food all over the floor and then eats it off the floor, very rarely completing a meal at the table
*Attracts dirt like magnets attract each other
*Loves to sing "The Wheels on the Bus," "All Aboard the Choo-Choo Train" and "Today is the Day" (a song from VBS a few years ago)
*The worlds biggest and best cuddler...EVER!  We love our cuddle bug!
*Born with black hair and bright blue eyes, and now has blond hair and same bright blue eyes
*Love, love, LOVES all trucks and emergency vehicles, his favorite are:  all trucks that slightly resemble Eric's "Daddy's Truck!"  All trash trucks, "Trash Truck...Mom!"  Buses, "Jack's bus!  Jack's bus!  Hi Jack's bus!"  And fire trucks or any truck with lights and he makes a siren sound at everyone he sees!
*I'm no longer Mommy, but Mom.  "Little Einstein....Mom."  "Milk...Mom."  "That my medicine....Mom."  And yes, there is always a pause before saying Mom.
*When he wakes up he says "Good Morning."  So.  Freaking. Adorable!  Especially after his nap and we're driving to get Molly at preschool, "Good Morning bus!"  As we pass the junior high and high school by our house!
*Loves Milk!
*Loves water, not only to drink but splash, spray, dump, spill, and jump in.
*Does not like sweets and in general all food right now except Cheetos, butter tortillas from the grocery store and strawberries, "More strawberries...Mom?"
*Cuddles up at night and nap time with his blanky, Elmo, and cup of water.
*Says, "I love you!"  So sweet!
*Loves to read and dance!
*There's a Minnie Mouse balloon at our grocery store on the ceiling and he calls it "Hot Dog."  The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is known as hot dog and it took me forever to figure out why he was saying hot dog in the cereal aisle.
*Is known to pee on the carpet at least once a week.
*Loves to put Lego's in his mouth, open doors (especially Jack's), run after ducks to pet them, bark at dogs, and tip-toe to as close to the street as possible all the while smiling at you!  (We really watch him, I promise and we're responsible too)!
*He loves to sweep, vacuum, and dust!
*Asks about 50 times a day if it's time to go to the bus stop or if "Daddy's home?"
*No is used frequently with him...especially "No Molly!"  Usually followed by screaming from one of them!
*Loves trains...reminds me a lot of his big brother!  And he's very possesive of his trains!
*Lays on the carpet playing with his trains and trucks...could play like this for hours!
*Has a tennis ball has his lovely at church or the Y...hey, whatever works, right?!
*Loves to go to the zoo to see all the animals and ride the train, but once he gets close to them,       he may or may not freak out a little...try a lot!  Loves to ride the train though!
*Every time he sees Christmas lights, he shouts, "Christmas TREES!!"
*Throws EVERYTHING!  And then laughs!
*Does not like getting a haircut or have his nails trimmed.
*Not a big fan of socks or shoes...especially socks though...and this has been a life struggle!
*Pretends to play the Wii with Jack and gets mad at someone who tries to play with Will's controller
*Has a slight fascination with remote controls, balls, my china cabinet, dvr's, CD players, computers, and our piano keyboard.
*"Aw Man", "Good Morning," (and yes I know I all ready put this phrase in), "Peek-a-boo to you," "Um...." (don't get me started on how cute that is!), "What?!!"  and "Tortilla...Mom?"  are all phrases said frequently by our Will...He really loves those tortillas!
*He's the best little brother anyone could ever ask for!  He LOVES his brother and sister so much and tries to be exactly like them!
*Has a small crush on Joe, the trashy neighbor across the street from us who has the loudest diesel truck, reconstructs his hot dog stand in his driveway often, and is just a smidge WT...might need a whole 'nother post on this guy!  Whenever Will sees Joe, Will goes, "Hi Joe!"  in the deepest voice, kind of like Joe's!
*Loves to jump, especially off the bottom step of our staircase!
*Not quite sure how we came up with the nickname Puggy Bear, but it's been with him his whole life and he responds to it!  We even have a song that we made up!
*Wakes up in the morning yelling, "Molly...wake up!  Daddy...wake up!  Mommy (the rare time)....wake up!"  We are usually met in his room by Molly and Will is saying "Good Morning!"  Then, "Milk...Mom?! Up...Mom!  Wet...Mom!"
*Very laid back until you mess with his trains, trucks or milk...seriously, watch out!
*Not a fan of the shopping cart, not that I blame him, but these carts are so cool now!  A race car with steering wheels, tons of free samples, balloons, stickers, even Buddy Bucks!  And we still start to scream towards to end of our shopping trip, no matter how fast I go or the samples...someday, someday, I tell you!
*Teaching himself how to do somersaults and loves to look upside down at everything!
*He is such a joy, blessing, and the funniest little kid I've met!  Thank you for being you and so sweet and loving!  We love you Pugs!
