We'll Flush You

Yesterday, as we were eating an afternoon snack, Jack was tipping back in his chair while eating and sitting on it like he's never been on or seen a chair in his life.  I remember the teachers at school telling us that our heads will crack open and then we would lose our chair the rest of the day and have to stand.  I was petrified, therefore never leaning back in my chair.  Our brave son, not so much!  Finally, after I told him several times to not lean back,  several warnings of losing the chair the rest of the day, and a few close calls, Eric says, "Seriously, listen to your mother, sit in your chair the right way or you could fall and get really hurt."  Such an authority!  Molly looks at Jack with a serious look on her face and adds, "And then you could die and we'll have to flush you."
Needless to say, he listened to her more then us.  I love my kids!

One of the BEST weeks EVER!

I love fall for several reasons and mainly because of this week!  Not only is the weather cooler, hey, it's only 94 today, but the leaves are changing, in certain parts of the country, not here, and I can actually imagine wearing my cute fall clothes (or the cute ones I see on Pintrist) in the next few weeks, like in mid-October.  It's also the week before my birthday and Will's birthday, so there is excitement for the 2 year old birthday party (mainly from myself and the older 2 kids) and who doesn't love birthdays when your kids are so excited?  Jack and Molly want to get me a sushi cake and coffee mugs.  Love, right there.  Now, the main reason I love this week is....TV premiere week!  YES!  We mainly watch reality TV that is always on and documentaries on all the boring guy channels, but we also like scripted shows!

Monday:
We have been fans of Two and a Half Men for years, so we have followed the Charlie Sheen drama closely and were very excited to see Ashton's debut.  Yes, he is so yummy!

We watched 2 Broke Girls and it was good.  We'll see.  Of course on Mondays, we record...

Which only Eric watches (it really hasn't changed that much in the like 10 years and all the bikes look exactly the same), and we also record....
which is The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  LOVE THIS SHOW!  Truly one of my favorites of all the Housewives, love IT!!
Ahem.
Tuesday:
I love Biggest Loser but I usually record it, watch the first few minutes and fast forward to the weigh-in, and then again to see who gets eliminated and where they are now.
I am a little embarrassed to admit the next two shows....
and
Stop judging me!
We also watch Deadliest Catch in the spring.  Thank goodness that one really starts when all the others end.  Whew!
Wednesday:
One of the best shows EVER!  Love it!
I'm also going to record Up All Night, we'll see, looks funny!  Eric records Sons of Guns, he loves it!
Thursday:
BEST NIGHT EVER!  Where do we begin?!
Love Michael Scott, love Jim and Pam, love The Office!  I will miss Michael, he was the boss you love to hate, but I mainly loved him!
Shut up!  Stop judging!  Usually a Real Housewives is on plus Watch What Happens Live, but right now, not on Thursdays.
Friday:
We don't have any shows on Friday, so we just catch up on shows.
Saturday:
We only record one show, which is my new love in life....
Sigh, love her and her new show!
Sunday:
The craziest, most shows recorded night we have!  Why?!  It's insane the number of shows we record and wish we could record, plus the ones we actually watch.  Did I mention we can only record one show at a time on our dvr?  One.  What, we're cheap.
Usually Sundays is go to church, get jobs done around the house, mow the lawn, and family dinner night in the dining room, type of day.  Whew, exhausting!
First, Amazing Race.  Love it!
Second, Real Housewives of New Jersey..
My other favorite of the Real Housewives, love them!  Love them!  Teresa, get over yourself!  Melissa, welcome!  Caroline, adopt me!
Top Gear, Eric has introduced me to this one and I have no idea about cars!  But love it and such a funny show!  And Tanner is super cute (the one in the middle).
I really want to watch The Good Wife, used to and loved it, but dvr issues.
We also have Big Brother on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday nights during the summer and that just ended and then all The Real Housewives, Top Chef, Swamp People, Bethenny Ever After, Kidnap and Rescue, Pregnant in Heels, and Tool Academy.  You get extra points if you match Eric and mine shows correctly.
**NOTE:  This appears like we watch a lot of TV, it's mainly recorded shows that stay on the dvr forever or I watch a show while folding laundry.  I did not include the kids show we also record, Dora, Dinosaur Train, Little Einsteins, and movies shown on Disney Junior.  Awesome!
Any shows you recommend?  Maybe I can fit it in my dvr.

Our Fun Weekend with Mr. Mouse!

Ever had one of those weekends when you wish (beg!) to have one extra day or a few more hours?  That was our weekend!  It was super fun, but I got nothing done around the house and now I'm so busy that I decided to give myself a break and update the blog!  Whew!  My life is rough!
The highlight of our weekend was a double date with a fun couple, wait no (but it was so fun, yummy food, great company, and no kids!)  It was Mr. Mouse!  If you've read....

then you know all about Mr. Mouse and his adventures.  If you haven't read this book or any of the books in the series, that's OK!  It's one of our family favorites and we love Mr. Mouse!  Jack's classroom just finished the book and every weekend, one student brings home Mr. Mouse and journals about all the fun they had with Mr. Mouse!
Guess who's weekend it was?!!  Ours!  Mr. Mouse and Jack rode the bus home Friday and both were bouncing with excitement about Mr. Mouses visit!  Of course we had our double date Friday night and didn't think Mr. Mouse would like sushi, so he stayed home and slept with Jack on the top bunk!  But, we had big plans for the other two days!  Saturday began with Kindermusik!  I started teaching one Saturday morning a month and Jack and Mr. Mouse and Molly insisted on joining me!  Eric only had one child and they washed the truck, a win-win for everyone!
Jack, Mr. Mouse and Molly playing the drum!
After lunch and naps, we headed to the zoo as a family, where we first rode the train....

We love the train!

Some serious train riders in the group!

With the engine named after Dr. Jack...he loved seeing his name on the engine!
Love this picture of her! She's so pretty, calm and peaceful!
And once inside the zoo, we visited all the favorite animals, watched as an elephant gave himself a bath, and crawled through the aquarium tunnel!  It wasn't too crowded and apparently we're all use to the heat because 100 degrees was pretty comfortable in the shade.

Sunday was full of church, football and fishing!  After naps, we grabbed our fishing gear, hot dogs (bait of choice around here), and Mr. Mouse!
The little guy learning tips from the big brother while Mr. Mouse looks on for the perfect fishing spot

And now the little brother is bored, so he tried to eat the hot dogs and  pet the ducks!

Friends for life!

Both very serious about catching a fish!

Finally...with the help of daddy!  Go job boys!

So sweet!  Love this one!
We had a great and exhausting weekend with Mr. Mouse, but we loved every minute of his visit!  Can't wait to hear about Jack telling his class all about his fun weekend!

Molly's 1st Day of Preschool!

Our sweet girl is now a preschooler and she couldn't be more excited!  She woke up Tuesday morning ready to go to school and kept asking when we could leave...starting at 6:30 and ending when we got in the car at 8:40!

She walked right into her classroom, put her backpack away, and started playing!  She has talked nonstop about the dollhouse and baby dolls, and that's what she was playing with when we left!  Of course, no tears from her, just a good-bye!  My tears came in the parking lot....which is really good for me!  Maybe by the time Will begins school I'll make it to the car before I cry!  I think I was the only parent crying, everyone else looked so happy!

When I picked her up at 2:30, she was happy, talkative and asked when she could go back!  I told her Thursday, so two days, and she asked if that meant she was going to Kindergarten tomorrow!  LOVE my girl!  We went to Sonic to get 1st day of school cherry limeades and I realized that she only ate her strawberries in her lunch, told me to buy fruit snacks for her lunch, and she has a new friend Bella!  The only other girl in her class!  Whew, thank goodness!  Overall, a great day and she was ready to go back!
A pretty girl getting ready to leave for school!

Showing us her backpack!  I just love this picture!

Loves her nap mat!  She is so proud!

Walking into school!

No worries, Daddy had the nap mat!

So excited to play with the doll house....and looks like someone didn't get the memo that this was Molly's preschool class, not his!  Maybe next year little buddy!
